Swensen's Lunch (after a long hiatus)

We were supposed to go to Plaza Singapura to pick up my father's handphone but the car park was full so we adjourned to Suntec City for lunch since it was already 1pm.

It was a rather big surprise for us when we didn't see the crowd that we expected at the restaurants. I mean what happened to all the weekend shoppers?? Oh well, maybe they are all overseas, lol. Since there wasn't any crowd, we could take our pick but the girls chose the lunch venue when they saw Swensen's. Fine, since we haven't been at Swensen's for over a year.

From the Kiddie Menu, Marieann ordered her Twisty Spaghetti (chicken) ($6.80) and Juliane ordered her Tower Pizza ($7.20): 3 pieces of pineapple, chicken ham and mushroom pizza, corn and hash browns.

The girls' father ordered Tic-Tac-Toe ($11.90): ham, hard-boiled egg, melted cheese with lettuce and tomatoes on sourdough buns, mashed potato and coleslaw. He said it was not bad, he liked it.

I ordered from its limited menu: Viva Pinata Fiesta, a Sparrowmint Turkey ($16.90): deep fried turkey breast with apricot sauce, sauteed potatoes and mushrooms and a zesty cherry tomato salsa. The set came with a Soup-of-the-Day: Vegetable Barley Soup and a free juice. The turkey breast was too tough because it was deep fried but the sauce was nice. The salsa was nice and sour. But on the whole, it's pretty average.

I also ordered a Pretztail sundae ($6.80) to share: chocolate peanut butter and butterscotch ice cream with caramel, mini pretzels and biscuit sticks. I really enjoyed the butterscotch ice cream and caramel sauce (yummy) but I know, it is over my limit again for sugar! Tomorrow, I will have more control, lol.
