Japan Trip 2016: Day 6 Part 2 7 Dec 2016 Wed - Temari no Ouchi Cat Cafe (てまりのおうち)

The second stop of our relaxing day is Temari no Ouchi Cat Cafe at Kichijoji. I made reservations a month earlier for 2pm. As we arrived earlier, we walked around the area and found some interesting shops, including Moomin Stand and a cat-themed shop, Hikosen Cara. 

We were shown to our table at 2pm. We were so excited and happy to see the cats and just started taking photos of the cats and petting the cats before we remembered to order our lunch haha. 

It wasn't long when a cat turned up at our corner and started to nap there. I was really tickled. Not long after that, a second cat came to our cosy corner and started napping too! And our lunch came! Juliane and I were forced to be really quiet when we ate our lunch haha. We now had two cats napping away under our table. I was so happy that they trusted us enough to do that! None of the other tables had cats napping there. The cats probably sensed that we are cat people haha. :)

We reluctantly left Temari no Ouchi Cat Cafe at 3:20pm as we had to get to our next destination before 4pm. Cat therapy is the BEST! 

If you wish to visit Temari no Ouchi Cat Cafe, it is best to make an appointment a month in advance to avoid disappointment. As there is no time limit, the cat cafe can get very crowded and there may not be tables available should you decide to just turn up wihtout notice.
